Back to back fortuity shook the desire of my family to live a blissful life. We just prayed God to bless us with a worry free ordinary life.

A nightmare for three consecutive years..happiness blossomed again in our life with the kind blessings of the divine power. I joined CellarstoneIndia, a software MNC on Jan 21 2004. I was reporting to Jothi Yegneswaran, a versatile talented person who taught me the tricks of E-Marketing. I admire her very much even now. Other than her I was reporting to Usha Rangaramanujam, another lady of great talent. Usha is very adept in content writing. I want to mention two more names who were instrumental for whatever I am today, the project manager, Srinivas Rekhapalli and Gopi Mattel, the CEO.

A grasshopper was dancing nearby it house on a fine Summer day. This happened almost 2 decades back. While the Grasshopper was enjoying its life to the fullest it saw an ant carrying an ear of corn to its home.

The grasshopper jumped in front of the ant and requested for a chat. But the ant told him "Dear Mr. Grasshopper the summer will end in a short time and thereafter winter will emerge," I am stocking the corns for the winter season. We will not be able to toil during the winter time, hence stocking the food for winter is highly essential. But the Grasshopper did not agree with the ant and told "there is still time for winter season," enjoy the present and put your worries aside, after all this is a very short life. The ant thought it is no use talking to the grasshopper and continued with its storage work.

After some months winter came, the ant which has stored enough food for the winter season did not have any reason to worry. But the grasshopper did worry as it began staving for food very badly. If grasshopper had taken the advice of the ant to save food for the near future it need not have starved this badly...

Trendsetters Adventurous Journey to a Cricket Ground

A cricketing journey that could have resulted in a fatal event. Danger never tells you that I am following you today!

After finishing the first match of a local tournament the team members of TrendSetters started their journey to play their next match at Cresent college in Thambaram. The first match was over even before it was 10.30 AM on Saturday morning, there was ample time left out to play the next match as it was scheduled at 2.30 PM. The journey started from Jain college, in pursuit of a short cut, Arvind the team in charge drove his car towards the destination by asking for apt route.

The car was laden with a bunch of Trendsetters players. KamalChandran and Thilak followed them on a bike. None of the players traveling would hardly have imagined that this trip would turn out to be adventurous and some times fatal. The short cut slowly seemed to be a long cut, muddy tracks pouring in dust did not dishearten the players enthusiasm to travel, but slowly the players started sensing "are we discovering a new route to Thambaram." No matter we are going to travel further thought the players, simply because they have come a long way..

Having faith on the shape of the earth is good, but too much could sour sometimes and IT DID SOUR AND HISSED AND PULLED IN THE TUMMY FOR A WHILE - the car entered the Thrisulam quarry area with little visibility followed by loud noises of crushers, nasty non-stop sand breeze, scrimpy path and only few people were on the roads who were covered by sand clothes. The first question they asked while we asked for the route is "why on earth did you people come this way?" Nevertheless they showed the route to uncover this adventurous trip. Till this time Kamal and Thilak were following the car, but now they thought it is high time that they go front of them. It was a divine intervention to make them travel ahead of them.. why is it so? Keep on reading...

After having traveled 2 to 3 km Kamal and Thilak saw a deep slant occupying 80% of the road. In fact it looked like the only road to move on and reach the main road. Slightly skeptical Kamal stopped his vehicle just before that and inquired the actual route to get past this quarry.The dust smeared quarry employee waived his hands towards the slant and told them to go in that direction, the person told just 5 kms only.. Kamal rode his bike in to the slant to get out of the quarry ASAP which was throwing sand into his eyes and honking irritating sound.. but alas the same person who told the route called him with a loud noise..not that way..pointed his finger towards a small area in the left..go this way...

Kamal tried to drive the vehicle upwards from the slope..Pulsar's engine ceased.. more over it was slippery to drive..because of the pieces of abundant rock stones on the roads. Kamal tried to push the vehicle, but the 250 kilo vehicle did not obey him..while trying to make the vehicle obey his orders..there was another vehicle climbing the slope. This vehicle is none other than the quarry lorry, not one, but two lorries. The lorry driver shouted at Kamal "I cannot stop the vehicle at any cost as it will fall down from the hill" A fatal like situation - Kamal called on Thilak to come and help him to push the vehicle away from the lorry..Both of them pushed the vehicle successfully away from the lorry and on to the right track..

Had Kamal and Thilak drove a little bit more in the slant.. things would have been different.. a deeply cut earth with no barricade on the side..narrow path.laden with rock stones..poor visibility..lorries climbing the slope with little control..threatening sight of miles visible inside the earth-

Divine intervention - Had Arvind and co traveled ahead of us.. had he motored the car in the slant.. reverse is certainly not possible..driving without barricades in the narrow path.. an one-way route..where only lorries dumped with rock stones travel.. hmm the result can be a mere guess. Thank God!

Shellshocked Trendsetters team..reached the main road.. on the right track...but were past only 1 kilometer from the Jain college from where they started the journey :-)

How Actual CPC is Calculated?

I have tried to give you a picture of how your Actual CPC is calculated. I always thought that the actual cpc is calculated in this manner.

Have furnished the sample figures below:

Londener (Max bid) = 0.75
First Lowest Ad (Max bid)= 0.70
Second Lowest Ad (Max bid)= 0.49

The scenario while all the three Ads are displayed;
How actual CPC will be calculated;
Max bid = 0.75 multiplied by your quality score will be the Ad rank. The ad postion will be carved out of this Ad rank, whomever has got a high Ad rank they will be winning the highest position.
Once Google has decided upon the position then the actual cpc will be calculated. The actual cpc will be the Ad Rank of first lowest ad divided by your quality score and also .01 cent addition to that amount.
This is how the actual cpc is calculated.

I have assumed 1.8 as the quality score for all the three ads.
(A) Londener (Max bid) = 0.75 Quality score = 1.8 Ad rank= 1.35 Actual cost= Ad rank b/Quality score A + .01 = .71
(B) First Lowest Ad (Max bid)= 0.70 Quality score = 1.8 Ad rank= 1.26 Actual cost=Ad rank c/Quality score B + .01 = .49
(C) Second Lowest Ad (Max bid)= 0.49 Quality score = 1.8 Ad rank= 0.88 Actual cost= As there are no competitors below this Ad, the min bid alloted for the keyword will be charged.

The scenario when only two Ads are displayed;
Londener (Max bid) = 0.75
Second Lowest Ad (Max bid)= 0.49
A) Londener (Max bid) = 0.75 Quality score = 1.8 Ad rank= 1.35 Actual cost= Ad rank b/Quality score A + .01 = .49
(B) Second Lowest Ad (Max bid)= 0.49 Quality score = 1.8 Ad rank= 0.88 Actual cost= As there are no competitors below him, the min bid alloted for the keyword will be charged.

Unless we know the Quality score of other advertisers, we cannot determine the actual cpc.

Since you know how much ever “Max CPC” you keep, google will take only one cent more than the next lowest Ad. If you increase your Max cpc google will multiply this this with your quality score to arrive at your Ad rank which inturn is used to determine your position.

Office Cricket Updates March 21 2009

A day was destined to uncover the abundant talent pool of Comodo cricketers and that day was none other than March 21, 2009. Mighty sixes, fantabulous fours, flicks, hooks, pulls, straight drives, on-drives, off-drives and unorthodox shots were a common sight on this ecstatic Saturday morning. Field restrictions were enforced only behind the square, so players enjoyed the liberty to score in the remaining vast area.

Most of the players assembled at the RA puram ground with more punctuality than ever before. A sure sign of augmentation in popularity of weekly cricket among Comodo cricketers was evident from the rising count of players who had gathered to relish the game of cricket. Applauses to the spirited players who came for the match after having just finished their night shift. Nineteen players got together on the ground to exhibit their skills and to savor the game.

The first match of the day began around 6.30 am and as usual the team captains went on to choose players for their team.

Bala won the toss for the opening match and opted to bat first. Bala’s team piled up a total of 62 runs in 12 overs and set 63 as the target for the chasing team. Jaikant’s team batted well and accomplished the required score in 12 overs. But it was not an easy win for Jaikant’s team as the batsmen had to toil hard to chase the target runs. Full credit to Bala’s team for containing the batsmen in the middle of the innings and dragging the game till the last ball of the final over.The game would have ended in a tie but for Girish who held on to his nerves to produce victory for his side by hitting the required single in the last ball.

After the completion of the first match a coin was tossed in the air to commence the second match. Again Bala won the toss and elected to bat. This time Bala’s team scored more runs than the first match and that too in just 10 overs. The chasing team was set a target of 76 runs. Jaikant’s team had to confront a poor start but they managed to stage a comeback to the game after the fourth over. Blitzkrieg batting by Jaikant gave a small hope to the chasing team, but they had to embrace defeat in the end.

Pongal, the harvest festival, is celebrated with great pomp and grandeur by Tamilians across the world.
The meaning of Pongal is “Boiling milk in a clay pot and waiting till it spills over.” Tamilians thank the sun god, rain god and animals who helped them raise a good and bountiful harvest.
My hats-off to farmers who toil hard on the farms to cultivate and reap farm products to feed the whole world.

We celebrated Pongal today in our office; Comodo Security Solutions. Our Office Pongal festival was well organized by Ms. Savitha, the HR Executive and Mr.Dhanasekhar, the Account executive. The festival commenced at 3.30 pm today with the mini Pooja which was performed to invoke blessings for prosperity in the years to come. The Pooja was performed by our house-keeping incharge, Muthu, thereby heralding a GOLDEN 2009 for Comodo.

The awesome flower decoration was the cynosure of all the employees and was the highlight of the Pongal festival. Ladies known for their patience, pure love and aesthetic sense designed a magnificent floral carpet. My special thanks to the ladies of Comodo India for the excellent floral carpet. The role of flower decoration played by Ms.Sandhya and Ms. Savitha were really vital in creating a mind blowing floral pattern on the golden floors of Comodo.

Last year, a mega Pooja was master minded by our CFO, Mr.Sowri with the able support of our HR Manager Mr.Srikant. These two ‘Comodo fellows’ are outstanding in the way they successfully handle things with efficiency and humility.

This year Mr. Srikant and Mr.Sowri have ventured into China with a business development mission. Even though, we miss them badly here in India, we reconcile ourselves thinking about the business mission they have at hand and wish them both success from the bottom of our heart.
Though I am concluding this small write-up on Office Pongal, the delight and harmony derived from the Office Pongal will linger in my mind eternally.

There are three supreme gods in the Hindu religion, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, each with well defined roles. Brahma is the creator, Vishnu is the preserver and Shiva the destroyer.

Many other deities in the Hindu religion are all incarnations of the one among the Holy Trinity ( Trimurthi). In the Holy Trinithy, Brahma has no incarnations, and Vishnu has more than ten incarnations to his name, the most famous being Sri Rama and Krishna. Hanuman, however is the incarnation of Lord Shiva.

In Hindu religion, Lord Shiva divided all his energy into eleven spheres or bodies. The elevanth expansion pf Lord Shiva, however, had been insulted and left unsatisfied by the demon king Ravana. Shiva then decided that the elevanth expansion could be used to fight Ravana, and serve Lord Rama. Accordingly, he took birth in the womb of Anjana by Kesari, and was born as Hanuman.

Unlike other deities that command respect and instigate fear, Hanuman is all about simple devotion and unconditional love. Hanuman is popular among children, and is one of the best loved deities in Hindu tradition and culture. Hanuman is the epitome of virtue, strength, power and humility, siddhi and courage. He is also known for his ardent and unwavering devotion to Lord Rama and his unfailing talents in serving his lord.
